Let the wild rumpus start!

I was so sad to find out that the author of one of my FAVORITE BOOKS OF ALL TIME, died on Tuesday. Maurice Sendak wrote a book that I correlate with my childhood.

I fully intend on making our first child's (if we ever have them) nursery in the theme of "Where the Wild Things Are". It's that good.
It's story I will always love.I guess you could say I've always been a bit of a "wild thing" at heart. I always related to, and felt bad for the wild things. When I was younger I played a part in a "school play" of a wild thing. I also dressed up as a wild thing two Halloweens ago. When I heard about Maurice passing, it got me thinking about his book. I started thinking about how I always did relate to those wild things. They loved Max so much, they wanted his approval, they wanted someone to love and care for!
"please don't go - we'll eat you up we love you so!"
They needed someone to control their wild side, to say when it was o.k. for the wild rumpus to start, and when to stop!
All this thinking about childhood, Max, and the Wild Things made me realize that I've lost that happy, young, and carefree outlook on life! I've decided that I'm going to get back into enjoying the little random things in life.
I'm starting to think I should get my wild side back.
I think it's time for the wild rumpus to start, again.
